THE COMMITTEE
The committee of management shall control and manage the affairs of the association. The committee shall consist of the four office-bearers of the association and three ordinary members. The office-bearers of the association shall be the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. Any four members of the committee shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of the business of a meeting of the committee. Each committee member shall be entitled to one vote. In the case of an equality of votes the person presiding may exercise a casting vote.
MEETINGS
The committee shall meet at least three times in any twelve month period. The annual general meeting of the association shall be held in November each year.
STANDING ORDERS
There are no current standing orders governing meeting procedures of the association, nevertheless normal practices are generally adhered to. Every effort shall be made to achieve consensus at meetings however a simple majority can suffice. A set of model standing orders is available.
LIABILITY
The liability of a member of the association to contribute towards the debts and liabilities of the association or the cost, charges and expenses of the winding up of the association is limited to the amount, if any, unpaid by the member in respect of membership of, or subscription to, the association.
